The Business Recovery and Insolvency area of practice is a multidisciplinary team composed by specialized lawyers in their respective areas, with solid technical expertise but also with an important practical background, with deep knowledge of the courts practice and decisions, resulting from the large experience acquired in the assistance to clients in lawsuits of this nature.

This team guides its intervention in order to present clients with the safest, fastest and most efficient solution to each specific case, particularly as regards the strategy to be followed and the options for liquidation or recovery - and, among the various recovery mechanisms, the most appropriate -, considering all interests at stake, namely those of the company, but also of all persons related to it, as creditors, employees and other partners, management bodies and possible guarantors, while also providing economic-financial analysis in partnership with consulting firms focused on these matters.

In the strategy to be defined, a careful analysis of the costs of the processes is always carried out with a view to profitability, utility and viability when a client intends to attempt a recovery.

This team is especially geared towards business recovery processes, such as special revitalization processes, insolvency processes with recovery plans and also extrajudicial processes.

Our lawyers are highly experienced in the recovery of small, medium and large-size companies, assisting companies since the referred business recovery processes were implemented in Portugal. This team was pioneer in the presentation of special revitalization processes, with a high rate of approval and homologation of the recovery plans presented.
