Partner André Gonçalves provides a detailed explanation of the Golden Visa Program, highlighting that the "Golden Visa is a program that, through an investment, allows the investor and their immediate family […] to obtain a residence permit in Portugal for 5 years."
He also points out that this program allows the investor, after the legal periods have expired, the possibility of applying for Portuguese citizenship, meaning a Portuguese passport. He emphasizes that "The passport is much more than a residence permit in Portugal. […] The holder of a Portuguese passport can live freely in any Schengen Area country."
