Approval of the establishment of Portugal's largest Renewable Energy Community (REC) and creation of ENNO with TELLES advice

TELLES advised on the approval of the process to establish the Renewable Energy Community (CER) of LIPOR - Associação de Municípios para a Gestão Sustentável de Resíduos do Grande Porto, an important milestone in the development of sustainable energy solutions in Portugal and Europe. TELLES also played a key role in the creation of the new organisation that will operate within the Energy Community, ENNO - Energias do Norte.

TELLES provided legal advice for this innovative project, which was approved by Direção-Geral de Energia e Geologia (DGEG). The initiative was led by Ivone Rocha, partner and head of the Energy and Natural Resources practice at TELLES, in collaboration with Luísa Vilas Boas and Rui Vasconcelos Pinto, associates in the same practice, and represents the largest renewable energy community in the country and one of the largest in Europe.

The approval of the constitution of this Renewable Energy Community (CER), as well as the creation of ENNO - Energias do Norte, is an important step towards the decarbonisation of our energy matrix, in an inclusive and efficient logic", says Ivone Rocha.

TELLES is proud to be part of this project, which reflects its ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation. We believe that initiatives such as this are fundamental to moving towards a greener and more sustainable future.
