During the 2nd edition of the annual Investors Portugal Dinner, TELLES founding partner Carlos Lucena presented António Miguel, founder and partner of Mustard Seed MAZE, with the "ESG Award of the Year", an award based on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria.
This prize was awarded for the first time by the Portuguese Association of Early Stage Investors - Investors Portugal, with the aim of recognising the excellence of companies in the national scenario that have adopted and promoted good governance, environmental management and social responsibility practices.
It should be noted that Mustard Seed MAZE received the award in recognition of investing in lock-step ventures, where there is a mutually reinforcing dynamic between profit and impact, while addressing social and environmental challenges.
The Investors Portugal Dinner brought together the early-stage investment sector - more than 100 investors and other key players in the market - to discuss issues related to the Portuguese ecosystem panorama, with the participation of TELLES partners Ofélia Pinto de Queiroz and Márcio Carreira Nobre.
It is important to highlight that environmental, social and governance sustainability has been part of TELLES' DNA since its inception. We want to inspire and encourage companies to be more and more sustainable!
