Gonçalo Pinto Ferreira, partner and head of the Labour and Social Security practice at TELLES, signs the opinion article ‘2025: Year of Changes... Looking for a Modern Employment Law’, published in The Legal Industry Reviews.
The TELLES’ lawyer, specialised in labour law, looks ahead to the possible changes to the Labour Code that will mark the year 2025, saying that these must be in line with the level of competitiveness that characterises the Portuguese labour market today, and that modern and flexible labour legislation is essential to attract and retain investment in Portugal.
Gonçalo Pinto Ferreira advocates that “Portugal’s competitiveness requires modern and flexible labour legislation that attracts and retains investment and contributes to robust and solid businesses. In this context, a change in regulation is expected that will ease the formal and bureaucratic obligations imposed on companies […].”
