Leyre Prieto was recognized as the best Lawyer in the Iberian Peninsula in the EU Law & Competition area.

Leyre Prieto, head partner of the European and Competition area at TELLES, was distinguished in the European Law & Competition category as the best lawyer under 40 in the Iberian Peninsula.

Leyre Prieto received, in Madrid, the award by Iberian Lawyer, in a ceremony where 40 awards were given yesterday to the 20 best lawyers and 20 best legal teams, Iberian, under the age of 40.

“I am very grateful for the vote of confidence in my work. But as individual success is based on teamwork, I understand that this award reflects the  determination and efficiency of the entire team of European Law and Competition at TELLES. This award has also a very relevant meaning for me, as it can contribute to inspire female lawyers, demonstrating that at TELLES it is possible to find a balance between the various fundamental roles I play daily, being a mother and developing a rewarding professional path”, says Leyre Prieto.

In this edition of the Forty under 40, TELLES was also among the five most voted by the jury in the individual and team categories. In the Lawyer of the Year category, it was hilighted the performance of Miguel Nogueira Leite, head partner in the Real Estate, Construction and Urban Planning area, Abílio Rodrigues, partner in the Tax team and Nuno Miguel Lourenço, partner in the Litigation and Arbitration team. As for the Team of the Year category, Real Estate, Tax and Litigation teams were among the five most voted by the jury.

The Forty under 40 awards highlight Portuguese and Spanish lawyers, under the age of 40, for their performance in complex operations and that have proposed innovative legal solutions that added value to the Clients' business during the last 12 months.
