TELLES' Labour Round Up is a monthly publication that highlights trends and relevant legal issues impacting the labour market in Portugal.
In the third edition, for the month of March, we highlight issues related to the submission of the Annual Report, the new regime for absences due to incapacitating pain caused by endometriosis, the new Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for workers to travel to the UK, the extension of the validity of temporary protection permits granted to Ukrainian citizens, the inspections carried out by the ACT to examine and monitor compliance with the legislation in force applicable to the road transportation sector, the new social security service entitled "Simplex", as well as an analysis of the Supreme Court ruling on unseizability of compensation for unlawful dismissal and of Decree-Law no. 40/2025 of 26 March, which obliges Portuguese pensioners living abroad to provide proof of life in order to continue receiving social security benefits.
With this publication, TELLES' Labour and Social Security team continues to collaborate closely with clients, anticipating and planning the challenges of labour relations in a changing world.
