TELLES advised BBDouro, a leading national player in sailing training and education services, in the process of acquiring Douro Yachts, a company specialised in the maintenance and repair of leisure boats.
The multidisciplinary team at TELLES involved in this transaction was led by founding partner Carlos Lucena. Tomás Barbosa, senior associate in the Corporate, M&A and Private Equity practice, played a key role. The team also included Vera Matos Pereira, a senior associate in the Labour and Social Security practice, António Palma Nogueira, an associate in the Corporate, Transactions and Private Equity practice, and Ana Sofia Teixeira, a trainee lawyer in the same practice.
Having completed this operation, BBDouro consolidates its position in the nautical market in Northern Portugal.
The BBDouro Group has four companies, 35 employees and a structure based on two offices, two workshops and two warehouses. It has a fleet of 35 boats (including semi-rigid, light sailing and cruising boats).
