TELLES is a partner in the international seminar presented by Union Internationale des Avocats about cross-border contracts with special focus on IP and Fashion (Competition Law)

TELLES is one of the main partners of the seminar “Drafting Effective International Contracts: Special Focus on IP and Fashion and on New Developments in Sales, Distribution and Competition Law”, presented by the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) with the support of the Porto Bar Association. The Seminar will take place on the 23rd and 24th of March, at the training center of the Porto Bar Association (Conselho Regional do Porto da Ordem dos Advogados).

This seminar will address the challenges posed by recent legal developments affecting the international supply, sale and distribution of goods. During the seminar, the main topics of contract drafting will be analyzed, taking into account the balance of power between the parties, as well as the need to comply with increasingly stringent legal requirements, particularly with regard to intellectual property.

Among the several panel discussions, will be present:

  • Leyre Prieto, head of European Law and Competition at TELLES, as a speaker in “Antitrust Law: New rules under the Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/720 on the application of Article 101(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to categories of vertical agreements and concerted practices (VBER)”
  • Pedro Vidigal Monteiro, head of Intellectual Property at TELLES, as a speaker in “Trade Marks, Design or Copyright – What is the Right Choice for the Fashion Industry?"
  • Joana Whyte, associate at TELLES, as a moderator in the round table “Sustainability in the Fashion Industry, Are We In the Right Track?”
