Economic decarbonization, war, the need for energy independence from the European Union and the creation of a market for green gas, associated with permanent technological evolution, in a year with high interest rates, generate new challenges in the energy industry that require a proactive approach that is close to clients. Aware of challenges, TELLES begins the year by restructuring and strengthening its Energy and Natural Resources team, headed by Ivone Rocha, with the arrival of Ana Pires da Silva and Vanessa Matos Mendes.

With more than 20 years of experience, Ana Pires da Silva has developed her expertise in the field of green economy, having handle several projects in terms of energy and carbon. At an academic level, Ana Pires da Silva attended several postgraduate courses in her area of expertise and is a master’s student in Law in the field of Civil Legal Sciences.

Vanessa Matos Mendes has more than 10 years of experience in legal practice, having developed her practice in public and regulatory law, with a vast international component, namely in the development of projects in Africa, with focus on Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde. Vanessa Matos Mendes is a master's student in Company Law.
For Ivone Rocha, head of the Energy and Natural Resources practice at TELLES “As 2023 is the year of all challenges and with this practice growing, both in terms of the number of projects and the incorporation of new areas such as hydrogen and other gases, in a period of abundant legislative production, the integration of Ana Pires da Silva and Vanessa Matos Mendes, are an important reinforcement to the team.
